As a founding member of ERA, TAmiRNA positions itself as the innovative driving force behind RNA biomarker development in Europe — combining novel biomarker products with premier research services in cell-free RNA and EV/exosome analysis.
Vienna, Austria — September 8, 2026
TAmiRNA is proud to announce that it has joined six other independent European RNA companies — Anemocyte, Genevia Technologies, Immagina Biotechnology, Lexogen, MultiplexDX, and siTOOLS Biotech — as a founding member of the European RNA Alliance (ERA), a new strategic alliance launched today to strengthen Europe’s position in high-quality RNA technologies.
RNA technologies are increasingly central to modern medicine — diagnostics, disease monitoring, prophylaxis, therapeutics, and personalized treatment. Yet Europe’s considerable expertise in this space is scattered across many small and mid-sized companies, making it harder for researchers to find the right partner, and harder for excellent European firms to stay visible against much larger global players. ERA was founded to close that gap: a shared, Made-in-Europe gateway that helps academic groups, core facilities, biotech, pharma, and clinical teams find the right RNA specialists and build integrated solutions — without merging identities, technologies, or independence.

TAmiRNA’s role within ERA
Within ERA, TAmiRNA positions itself as the innovative company driving RNA biomarker development in Europe. This means combining two strengths: continuously developing innovative biomarker products, and offering premier research services in the analysis of cell-free and extracellular vesicle (EV)/exosome-associated RNAs.
Innovative products:
- miND® spike-ins — our proprietary normalization standards for robust, reproducible small RNA-sequencing
- hepatomiR® — our CE-marked, ISO 13485-manufactured IVD test for liver damage and function
- promiR™ — our currently developed biomarker test for prosthetic joint infection, and other biomarker products in our pipeline
Trusted research services:
- miND® small RNA-sequencing and total RNA sequencing workflows for RNA biomarker discovery
- Cell-free RNA analysis in biofluids — microRNAs, mRNAs, and other non-coding RNAs in plasma, serum, and urine
- Comprehensive characterization of extracellular vesicles (EVs) and exosomes, combining transcriptomics with proteomic and lipidomic profiling through our partner network
We expect ERA to significantly increase TAmiRNA’s visibility in these fields, helping us reach new customers looking for RNA biomarker discovery, validation, or EV/exosome characterization expertise; strengthen the perception of TAmiRNA among our existing customers; find partners for joint research and grant applications; and become more visible to potential investors.
“Europe’s RNA companies have world-class science, but we’re often too small individually to be visible on the global stage. ERA changes that. For TAmiRNA, it’s a chance to put our RNA biomarker products and our research services in sequencing-based microRNA and mRNA analysis in biofluids and extracellular vesicles in front of exactly the researchers, customers, and partners who need them — while staying fully independent and focused on what we do best.”
— Matthias Hackl, CEO & CSO, TAmiRNA
What’s next
The launch of ERA marks a first step toward building Europe’s leading hub for RNA technologies. TAmiRNA will continue to work with fellow ERA members on joint visibility initiatives, shared events, and mentoring for the next generation of European RNA startups — all while continuing to serve our customers directly with the same scientific proximity and tailored support they rely on today.

About the European RNA Alliance
The European RNA Alliance (ERA) is a strategic alliance of independent European companies active in RNA tools, services, bioinformatics, enabling technologies, translational research, manufacturing, and molecular diagnostics. ERA supports the RNA community, increases the visibility of European RNA specialists, and fosters collaboration, business development, and access to funding opportunities — strengthening Europe’s competitiveness in RNA technologies. ERA is a non-equity alliance: each member retains its independence, identity, intellectual property, customers, operations, and strategy.
